Frontend Web Developer

Print at Dolores Labs (San Francisco, CA) · July 3rd, 2009 · Design (Full-Time)

Job Description:

Dolores Labs is a completely rad startup in San Francisco that does lots of really awesome stuff. Let me tell you a little bit about what we want you to do.

Skills that are a must

* Startup: You’re able to learn quickly, design creative solutions, and work independently.

* People: As a client liaison you’ll have to do things like communicate.

* Ruby: We’re a Ruby shop, you should be familiar.

* Unix: Our servers are Ubuntu, our workstations are f-ing unibody MacBook Pros.

* HTML / CSS: Screw Dream Weaver, you write it all by hand.

* JavaScript frameworks: We use MooTools. JQuery’s cool. You just need to be able to write solid JS.

FTW

* MVC Web frameworks: We use both Merb and Rails.

* GIT: That’s right, none of that non-distributed version control nonsense.

* Side projects: You have a pet project that you’ve open sourced and enjoy hacking on.

* Crowdsourcing: You’ve played with Mechanical Turk.

* Taste: You take using emoticons seriously. Last night you ate wild boar with blackberry compote.

* Humor: You have a sense of it. ;)
