Overview of Position:

Based in New York, the freelance flash animation/developer position conceptualizes and animates for the macys.com special events mini-sites and special seasonal/brand shops. Works closely with designers to animate flash home pages and features.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assemble and lead animation for interactive websites.

• validate functionality of design concepts.

• Ensure site optimization, unit testing, proper referencing and documentation.

• Work closely with art directors, copywriters, designers and project managers to ensure proper and on-time completion of projects.

• Ability to quickly learn and understand technologies and applications of varying degrees of complexity

• Develop and Incorporate social networking aspects to sitlets.

Skills Summary:

• 5+ years professional experience with complex all-flash websites (including dynamic content, videos, forms, etc.)

• 5+ years experience with Flash ActionScript 2.0 & 3.0, XML, Javascript

• Coded animation experience (Tweener experience is a plus)

• Understanding of OOP and examples to prove it

• Bachelor’s degree (or comparable work experience)

• Fluency in PhotoShop, Image Ready, After Effects, Illustrator and Flash on the Macintosh platform

• Strong attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.

• Knowledge of Eclipse + FDT is a plus

• Expertise in building XML/database driven sites and applications
